notes on next steps…

The cost of personal training depends on where you choose to train. The ‘from’ price is charged when you train in my locations. If you prefer to train in your own home, the price will be quoted individually, taking into account the distance and travel time.

If you choose to train with a friend or partner, the cost of each session is reduced for each of you. The in-person sessions will be shared, training at the same time in the same location, and the content will be planned to accommodate you both. However, you will still receive your own personalised programme for outside of our weekly training sessions to meet your needs and goals. You both have individual check-ins, your own access to the tracking app, and can contact me when you need to. I do ask that both of you have completed a 6 week pathway with me first, either individually or together. Although I predominantly train women, I am very happy to work with mixed sex pairs when training with a friend.

Online training is an option for people who want to train with me specifically, maybe because of my approach and philosophy or specialist area, but who don’t live close by. It is also useful for those who are more familiar with the gym and have the confidence to train by themselves at a time which fits into their busy lives. Online clients have consultations and weekly check-ins via video call. This makes it more flexible. You receive a personalised programme which focuses right in on your training goals, have access to the tracking app, and you can contact me when needed. I ask for regular photo and video updates from your training sessions so that I can ensure you are working safely and effectively, offering advice and corrections, and giving tips to maximise your workout.

Training every now and then is not best approach for everyone. When you book an occasional session, it is easy to let time pass and training tends to slip. Progress isn’t made and frustration sets in. Having a regular commitment keeps people on track and adds a layer of accountability. There are times when it the motivation to exercise isn’t there – even personal trainers find it hard sometimes! But if you know that your Wednesday 10am session is booked, you will be there. Showing up is the most important part. Ad hoc training is most appropriate for people who are confident and experienced and, for whom, exercise is already part of their way of life. Perhaps, they have been working out independently for a few months and want a ‘check in’ to see how they’re progressing and have a programme refresh. Maybe they have an event that they’re preparing for, such as a Hyrox competition, and need a couple of ‘booster’ sessions to work on a specific technique. If you’re unsure as to whether this is the right approach for you, let’s have a chat.
