Hi, I’m Andrea
If you’d met me a few years ago, you probably wouldn’t have described me as strong in any sense of the word. By the time I reached 40, life had already taught me some hard lessons. I’d lost both parents and both brothers, all far too young. I was carrying grief that weighed heavy, working in a role that left me chronically stressed, away from my husband and children, questioning myself and terrified of getting things wrong.
Looking back now, I can see that I was entering perimenopause. At the time, I didn’t recognise how much my changing hormones were affecting my confidence, my energy, my mood and my sense of self. I just knew that life felt harder than it should. My health wasn’t where I wanted it to be. I was living with obesity and a growing list of serious medical concerns. More than that, I felt disconnected from the person I wanted to be. I wasn’t participating in life; I was watching it from the side lines.

But… I dreamed of adventure, challenge and excitement. I wanted to travel, explore, try new things, and make the most of the years ahead. The person staring back at me in the mirror wasn’t living that life. Instead, I was hiding. Quietly apologising for taking up space. Convincing myself that the life I craved wasn’t for people like me.
Then one day, I realised that something had to change. Not because I hated what I saw but because I wanted more for myself and my family. I didn’t need a new body. I didn’t need a new personality. I didn’t need to become somebody else. I just needed to give myself the chance to become more fully me.
So, I started taking small steps. Those small steps turned into confident strides. Over time, I lost 8 stone and began to respect the amazing feats my body was capable of. More importantly, my health improved more than I could imagine. I discovered something I never expected to love… strength training. The gym stopped being a place of intimidation and became a place of possibility. For the first time in years, I wasn’t focusing on what I couldn’t do. I was discovering what I could do. Every weight I lifted, every run I completed, and every fear I pushed through became evidence of something that I began to believe: I AM STRONG. Not just physically, but emotionally.
Today, I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been. I am training for my first Hyrox competition – as a solo athlete – and I am running further than I ever imagined possible. Perhaps most surprising of all, I am genuinely excited about what the future holds. Not because I have reached some magical finish line, but because I have learned that I am capable of far more than I ever gave myself credit for.
That’s what inspired me to create Fourth Horizon.
I know what it’s like to believe that you’ve missed your chance.
I know what it’s like when you feel that the world is judging you.
I know what it’s like to feel invisible, exhausted, overwhelmed and disconnected from your own potential.
I also know what it’s like to discover strength you didn’t know you had. To start trusting your body again. To realise that the most exciting chapter of your life might still be ahead of you.
That’s why I became a Personal Trainer and Certified Menopause Coach. Not because I think that everyone should have to lose weight, run marathons or train for crazy fitness competitions, but because I believe that every woman deserves the chance to discover what is possible. Whether that’s climbing a mountain, playing with grandchildren, feeling strong and confident, travelling the world, improving health, or simply waking up every morning with more energy and self-belief.
My role isn’t to create a new version of you. It’s to help you uncover the woman who is already there.
The STRONG one.
The CAPABLE one.
The RESILIENT one.
The one who is ready to start LIVING.
Because life after 40 isn’t a winding down. It’s a horizon full of possibilities. I’d love to help you discover yours.
Your future isn’t written yet… Let’s explore what’s possible!
